Amarex Intelligent Networks

The advent of Intelligent Networks (IN) represents enormous business opportunity for telecommunication service providers. However, the installation of large IN implementation is a complex endeavor. VSP's mission is to reduce the complexity of this endeavor.

VSP is uniquely qualified to do this because of our experience in both the IVR and IN industries. Indeed, VSP has designed and implemented some of the biggest IP/SNs in the world. VSP's SuiteTalk group of products represents innovation and commitment to the IN marketplace.

VSP's products support AIN/IP/SN applications by providing caller interaction for messaging, routing and provisioning. The high availability hardware and software architecture, coupled with its modularity and scalability, makes. VSP's SuiteTalk a perfect platform for AIN/IP/SN development and deployment. All hardware and software components are duplexed precluding service loss from single component failure. Rack mounted, duplexed hardware elements are packaged for NEBS compliance, making the SuiteTalk implementation for AIN/IP/SN suitable for Central Office (CO) environments.

Applications

VSP has provided solutions in support of a number of AIN applications including Free Call (800 Service), Virtual Private Network, Credit Call, Calling Card, System and Subscriber Announcements, Call Forwarding and Customer Contact Services. These services have included Announcement Recording, Play and Management, Customer Control for Provisioning, and Intelligent Network Support for Routing.

VSP has also provided high availability, multi-site Directory Services in support of Subscriber based Messaging Applications.

Also, comprehensive runtime umbrella services are available, including monitoring, statistics, and interface to alarm subsystems. Several mechanisms are provided within the architecture to support multiple applications, languages, protocols, and sites, including the protection required to isolate multiple applications from one another, to survive and automatically recover from faults, and to permit on-line software and hardware upgrade.

For a detailed discussion of some key elements of an Advanced Intelligent Network, see the white papers written for the International Engineering Consortium by our chairman and Chief Technical Officer, Steve Silberstang, about Service Creation for Advanced Intelligent Networks Utilizing Intelligent Peripherals and Building a Reliable Intelligent Peripheral/Service Node.
